CrossFit Anniversary

Hello gang!

Just a quick post to commemorate my 1st year as a CrossFitter!  I can't believe how far I have come.

When I started, I was using the second biggest band for pullups...now I can do several kipping pullups in a row with no band...and link 3 unassisted dead hang pullups!

I am close to being able to deadlift 1.5 times my body weight.  I am stronger and fitter and get compliments on my newfound muscles.  I eat more protein, more veggies, and less sugar.  I am better at racquetball (my other sport of choice) and love that I can go run 5k races without any specific training.  I prioritize my sleep and get better results working out 6-8 hours a week than I got working out 12+ hours a week.

A big thank you to Coach Corey, Coach Allison, and Coach Jared and all my fellow WODers at Mercer Island CrossFit, especially my momma.  You guys keep me coming even on the days where I'm crabby, lazy, and unmotivated, and I've never regretted a class!

Here's to Year 2!
